Cranberry Trail (5) - View of Lake Nipissing

Click on the photo for a larger image.

After walking along the 2.7km long Cranberry Trail, this is part of the view you are greeted with. The sounds of the waves crashing and the trees whispering as the wind whips through is very haunting as you walk along the trail and is just amazing once you step out onto the shore.

And yes, that is a small cabin on that island in the background.

I can just about hear and smell this lake, nice.
I have made a mistake with my berries, on checking it was fresh blueberries,'currently' $6.95 a punnet (not cheap) at times there are fresh raspberries amd maybe cranberries. Saw a web site for cranberries so they are grown but not in this district.Must be good to live in the right climate for them all! Strawberries are plentiful but not necessarily tender and delicate, bit chewy round $2.

Who owns that cabin? Do you know? Is it a home or a park maintenance cabin?

Does anybody live on that island Craig, it must be a bit spooky at night.

The cabin on the island is private (not part of the trail). I would imagine that the owners of that cottage probably spend quite a few nights during the summer on their little island enjoying the sounds.

Apparently you did walk the entire trail...I should read them all before I comment!!! I have had a very slow computer this week making it hard to do my blog rounds!!!!
