Cranberry Trail (1) - Cranberry Marsh
Last weekend the town of Callander which is just south of North Bay officially unveiled the latest trail to be added to Discovery Routes. It's a wonderful 2.7 km trail that is just west of where the Kate Pace Way trail ends. This trail takes you out to the shores of Lake Nipissing and past a cranberry bog! Cranberries are a great tasting fruit! Along the trail there are numerous interpretative signs telling visitors about the animals in the area, the trees & floral species native to the area as well as some local history. It's a walking/biking trail (but no roller blades as it is a mixture of sand & crushed rock trail).

Never been there - but two years ago I was at the Cranberry marshes in Muskoka, Canada.
I'll bet persimmon bread with cranberries would be delightful. I hope you find persimmons in your grocery.
wow that is a really ancient formation. You are lucky to have those beautiful trails and parks and reserves in Canada and the US.
A cranberry bog - the mind boggles -
Is it
a bog full of cranberries
a flooded cranberry patch
please explain!!!!
Whatver it is it sounds like a lot of fun!!!
Can you actually pick the cranberries? Seems to me that involves getting wet...or almost getting wet....great post...
