A view of the raised viewing platform. During the summer & spring, you will be able to view numerous birds (including trumpeter swams, ospreys and bald eagles). This photo was taken while taking a break from hand picking cranberries in the bog.
OOw thats very nice Northbay ( I see you have been tagged too!) I like the summer and al the birds, but Cranberry isn't close near you right? Or am I mistaken now?
Anyway thanks for howing I am glad I found your interesting blog!!
Oh what a beautiful bog! I'm glad I clicked to make it larger! I love bogs and all those yummy cranberries--I had cranberry pancakes with Lingonberry syrup for breakfast today. I used to go cranberry picking at the bogs, but there is none near where I now live. And I love the pitcher plants and sundew and birds and wildlife. Cool capture.

I was converted to cranberries during a 2005 photography trip to Canada!
nice post
Just had some cranberries, I don't have them often, they are not plentiful. Am glad that nature is in the news. thanks for the good news!
It's a surprise to hear that you actually handcollected the cranberries. I've only ever seen machines doing it. Silly me, I should have realized.
These viewing platforms are great for looking beyond the trail and into the areas around it.
Everyone seems to like cranberries here...that is good...my favorite with Thanksgiving dinner.
