King's Landing - Municipal Wharf
The municipal wharf (the former Government Dock) on Memorial Drive is named King's Landing after a former municipal politician. As it states on the sign:
Donald E. King
1921-2002
"A Man of His Word"
Don King served his country as a war veteran and also served our community as a capable, committed and conscientious Reeve, Councillor and Alderman over a 35 year period. He was a staunch supporter of community projects that he believed would benefit the community. His leadership and contribution to the development of this waterfont has left a legacy that will be enjoyed by many for years to come.

Hi Northbay
I enlarged the photo and red the sign with growing interest, No Parking. No Swimming, No feeding birds,:) but it might be neccesary to give rules to keep the warf a nice place...

Have you been on this place and if so....What did you like about it most?
Just curious, JoAnn :)

So glad that Mr King received recognition for his work in the community. Looking forward to seeing the boats, as I am a bit of a boat person.
