Education Centre Pond covered in Snow

Please click on the photo for a larger image.

This is the view of the pond at the back of the Education Centre (part of Nipissing University & Canadore College). This is what you can see from the cafeteria windows. It was a bit cold & windy when I took this photo on Monday afternoon.

Come February 2008, this area will be swarming with hockey players as Canadore College hosts the Canadian Pond Hockey Faceoff on February 15, 16, & 17.

winter, although cold, gives me a great feeling, coming I guess from my childhood, one of warm tea and nice cookies. must be realy nice to be in that cafeteria and enjoy this view!

Wow! It's really laying, isn't it? I'm just glad we'll never have it that bad. Perhaps a couple of days in February or January.

As much as I like to complain about snow, the kind of landscape is wonderful. The hugeness (is that a word???), the trees behind, the thick layer of snow... so "canadien"! ;)

Having been out of town, I'm just catching up, so I'm going to comment on your last three posts at once.

The bridge shot was beautiful. I do love the snow-covered appearance. However, I'm very, very happy I don't have to drive/walk in it. I do not like snow. Sorry. If we had as much as you (or even 1/2!), Nashville would come to a screeching halt, believe me.

Do you teach? WHat?

The winter landscape is very pretty with the trees in the background. Looking forward to hockey photographs.
