Airplane Ride (6) - Osprey Golf Course

Click on photo for a larger image.

This is the front nine of Osprey Golf Course. I have marked part of the Kate Pace Way (paved bike/walking trail) that winds it way through the forest. Here's a link to a photo I shot while riding my bike while on the trail in this area.

You can search through my blog for other photos taken along the Kate Pace Way.

What a nice trail that looks to be, must be for offroad bikes.

Amazing contrasts. First time I see a golf course abutting wilderness from the air. I should fly small planes every now and then! :)

(Don't think that'll ever happen, though, my stomach doesn't like me to look out the window when flying...)

The golf course looks great from the air. It's not a vantage point many of us will ever get on our own. Very nice series from the air.

What a view! Fabulous!
By the way, it is a fantastic reflection, you noticed in our post. It looks so impressive, I can't believe I didn't see it myself before.

A nicely treed area except for the golf course with its many waterholes! Maybe it is new.

I like this photo a lot--I agree with Fenix's comment, across the board.

I was intrigued by this in the portal - golfers would have known instantly, of course! Super photo and a lovely series.

I love these aerial shots and the trail through the woods was very nice. I like the way the come together, though I guess gold courses are generally very unenvironmental.

Great shot of the golf course, looks like a lot of water hazards, the plane ride must have been fun. Hope you have a great day. Ranger and Lloyd

This is quite an interesting perspective. . . .not quite what I would have imagined a golf course looked like from above.

Because I forget, how long ago was your plane ride? I ask because most of the golf course grass (Bermuda) here has been brown for over a month now.

Doesn't look to hard from this height. Not to many out of bounds areas. I like all the trees around when I am playing golf -- golf to me is a deep woods experience.

That should read golF courses!

Oops, I made lots of typos and often don't even know it. Sorry.

Love these aerials!
