Looks like a quiet place to raise a family, and corn, or wheat, or cattle, or whatever the farmer of this home made his living with. My grandparents had farms and I have fond memories of visits to their homes.

This photo caught my attention on the portal -- and viewed large it's even more spectacular. It puts me in another time and place.

Beautifully captured. The sky, the light, the shadows. Lovely place. And now, thanks to the amazing Google Maps, I know where this beautiful farm is! :) The first property, on the right side of the road, as you leave Hwy 11, yes?

The university campus looks gorgeous from above.

Have a nice and bright weekend!

It looks so brave, standing out on the land without any sheltering trees.

Like Wendy, my grandparents had farms too. Hey, Wendy's my cousin - we had the same grandparents!

I love your header! It's great picture. Is that in North Bay too?

I like this photo. The clouds are quite dramatic. Just wondering what would happen if you zoomed in a bit... so we see a bit more character from the house.

Looks wonderful! (I smiled to see the label -- somehow the "condos and apts" part just don't fit with the image :-)

Hello! My name is Emilie. I have lived in North Bay my entire life, part of which I resided in the old farm house you photographed. I was very young, probably anywhere between 5 and 7 years old. At that time, I actually lived in a small house in the Ferris area with my mom, but she was a single mom of two young kids, so my Memère (my mom's mom) babysat us at least 5 days a week at her house, which just happened to be that old farm house. I don't know if she owned it or just rented it. I have very vivid memories of playing at this house (my longterm memory is very sharp). I can remember scaring myself everytime I walked up the old, wooden stairs in the house because they creaked. Also, I remember the house being very dark; though it has electricity, I don't think anyone had updated anything in the house at that time (early 1990's), so there were very few wall and ceiling lights.
My mom is one of ten kids, so when we had family gatherings during that time, they always happened at my Memère's house because it was the only place big enough to have everyone.
This photograph brought back many memories that I had forgotten about for many, many years (I am now 20 years old). Thank you so much for taking this picture.
