July's Theme Day - Colour Red
It's the 1st of the month and that means its time for another City Daily Blogger Theme Day. July's theme is the colour RED.
Here in Canada, July 1st is a national holiday - Canada Day (Fête du Canada) or Dominion Day - it is the anniversary of the granting of Royal Assent to the British North America Act.
I know it would have been patriotic to show the Maple Leaf but I thought this shot of a Coca-Cola display in the shape of the Canadian Tire logo would be interesting. Since Canadian Tire is a very Canadian thing, eh! The McKeown Ave store was celebrating the remodelling & expansion of their store.
For those of you unfamiliar with Canadian Tire they have a loyalty programme begun around 1958 where they issue their own currency. Almost all Canadians have some Canadian Tire Money (with the picture of Sandy McTire on the front) hiding in either a drawer or wallet somewhere.
Please visit some of the other 100 Daily Photo Blogs that are participating in the colour red theme day.
Here is a list of them:

Very colourful! And, very clever, also! Happy Dominion Day, too.
This is so sweet. Happy theme day and happy Canada day!
I was waiting for a Cocacola shot and here it is. Great one. Happy Canada Day!
woe betide the person who knocks that lot over.
Good to see you have the option of coke-zero -- much nicer than diet-coke
Good shot...and Happy Canada Day!
That stack took some thought, and some hard work. I bet nobody touched it all day.
