Train Derailment (west of Verner)
The Ottawa Valley Railway had a train derailment a few miles west of Verner on Sunday August 19, 2007. Nobody was injured. As well there were no hazardous or noxious chemicals aboard the cars that did derail. (As you can see it appears to be goods destined for department stores - The Bay, Zellers and Canadian Tire).
The train was heading east to Montréal. Click the link to check out the daily photo from Montréal.

I bet it was scary for people who were on the train. Good thing no one was hurt.

wow, glad no one was injured!
Heureusement pas trop de degats, il n'empeche que le rail est plus sur que les camions
Fortunately not too much damage, nevertheless the rail is more on than the trucks
What pretty countryside. It would be nice to hitch a ride on that train and watch the scenery go by (of course, I wouldn't want to be riding it when it derailed!)
May have messed up someone's back to school shopping.
