Lightning & Rain along Memorial Drive

A large thunderstorm moved thru the North Bay region on late Sunday night /early Monday morning and the above photo shows a few of the lightning strikes. It was my first time trying to capture lightning and few of my photos actually turned out (either no lightning or too many strikes which made most of the view burned out).

The view is from a parking lot along the waterfront on Memorial Drive looking south-southeast towards the West Ferris area.

Excellent capture. I've been trying to capture lightning lately. It's a bit tricky, but if you wait long enough, you'll get a shot you like.

It looks like a nasty storm. Your photo shows the colors I like most. I also wish we had some of your rain.

Wow! What a beautiful photograph! We haven't had much rain here in San Diego in the last year, and I can't remember the last good thunderstorm. Brings back nice memories of childhood.

This is a very cool shot--love those pinks and purples, I was surprised it was a storm, and that you were trying to snag a few lightning bolts!

(ps. I changed my blogger display name to match my portal name, anywhich way, it's still me...)
