This year at the North Bay waterfront from Thursday till Sunday you can rent one of these bikes from FunRentals.ca.
The business is owned by Daryl & Michele Vaillancourt. Daryl Vaillancourt is North Bay City Councillor as well as a local business person. If you go to their website you can see the current prices for renting for 1hour or the day.
I personally haven't ridden on them but they do look like a lot of fun! When I have been riding along the Kate Pace Way bike path and pass the people (usually families) riding these bikes, they all seem to be smiling and laughing and having a grand time! I just may have to give it try sometime before winter lands!
looks like a fun time and a beautiful area to ride them!
ReplyDeletelooks fun and seems like it's more for family ride? I can see its take more passanger...COOL!
ReplyDeleteI would be smiling, too, if I were in one of those, especially riding down the Kate Pace Way!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind working but that looks like a job peddling one of them. It is a nice idea whose time may have come.

Great photo!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish we had those here! They are sooooo cute. I checked their site and fell in love with the two-seaters :).
My kind of bike! more than one set of legs!!! Very nice photo.
ReplyDeleteWow !
ReplyDeletedo they have this type of 'traffic' now also in Canada? Haha! We found out that in Holland in 'The Hague' (is a city where our goverment is) they are using this kind of "bikes" named "tuctuc" (Tuc Tuc ,is also a salt cookie yu know?)
This type of bikes are origionally coming from India right? I saw them there for the first time in my life, they were used there as "taxi's". I also hearded that the Indian government want to forbid this type of bikes in India, so in other countreis we can find this bikes, which come from India... Strange idea ehh??

Yes, you ought to do that before it gets cold! (btw, what is the meaning of the name of the place?)
ReplyDeleteA bicycle built for four! I found it interesting that there were two steering wheels. I was relived to see, in the enlarged photo, that one of the steering wheels is non-fictional.
ReplyDeleteAren't we all suckers for unusual vehicles? I'd rent them in a flash.
ReplyDeleteI hope we have those bicycles here in Manila :)
ReplyDeleteNow that looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe ;o) les nouveaux bus ecologiques ;o) j'adore

I love JoAnn's comment! What a fun person to be around she must be!
ReplyDeleteThe double steering wheel made me think of the Simpsons. Hee! You must take one out for a spin and report back on the blog as to how it was...
