Double Bikes - Lake Nipissing Waterfront

This year at the North Bay waterfront from Thursday till Sunday you can rent one of these bikes from FunRentals.ca.

The business is owned by Daryl & Michele Vaillancourt. Daryl Vaillancourt is North Bay City Councillor as well as a local business person. If you go to their website you can see the current prices for renting for 1hour or the day.

I personally haven't ridden on them but they do look like a lot of fun! When I have been riding along the Kate Pace Way bike path and pass the people (usually families) riding these bikes, they all seem to be smiling and laughing and having a grand time! I just may have to give it try sometime before winter lands!

  4. I don't mind working but that looks like a job peddling one of them. It is a nice idea whose time may have come.

  8. Wow !
do they have this type of 'traffic' now also in Canada? Haha! We found out that in Holland in 'The Hague' (is a city where our goverment is) they are using this kind of "bikes" named "tuctuc" (Tuc Tuc ,is also a salt cookie yu know?)

This type of bikes are origionally coming from India right? I saw them there for the first time in my life, they were used there as "taxi's". I also hearded that the Indian government want to forbid this type of bikes in India, so in other countreis we can find this bikes, which come from India... Strange idea ehh??

  10. A bicycle built for four! I found it interesting that there were two steering wheels. I was relived to see, in the enlarged photo, that one of the steering wheels is non-fictional.
